Bina pakachi mhans without making syrup. Common problem while making gulpapdi is syrup. One doesn’t make gulpapdi because they fear what if the syrup consistency goes wrong!! Today, we will make gulpapdi without making syrup. This is a very easy and simple recipe. Gul papdi is a traditional sweet dish. Wheat flour is roasted and cooked with jaggery and ghee. This can also be any time snack. This is a very healthy recipe especially in winter days. A good option for your kids’ tiffin too. We are adding dink to make it healthier. You also can like, share and subscribe. Ingredients: • 1 tbsp Poppy seeds • 1 tbsp white Sesame seeds • 1/4 cup / 100 gm grated dry Coconut • 3/4 cup / 150 gm Ghee • 3 cups / 450 gm Wheat flour • 10 Cashew nuts • 10 Almonds • 10 Walnuts • 10 Pistachios • 1/4 cup / 50 gm Ghee • 1 tbsp Dink powder • 1 1/2 cup / 225 gm Jaggery • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg powder Method: • Heat up a pan on medium heat and add poppy seeds. • Roast poppy well until it begins to pop up and transfer it into a dish. • In the same pan roast sesame seeds until they begin to pop up and get nice light golden color and transfer them into the dish. • Roast coconut on medium heat until it gets golden color and transfer it into a dish. • In the same pan add ghee and wheat flour and roast it well on medium heat until it gets nice golden color. • Add ghee and dry nuts and roast it well together until ghee begins to release from it. • Turn the heat to low and dink powder. • Mix well and add half or roasted poppy seeds and sesame seeds. • Add roasted coconut and mix everything well together. • Turn the gas off and let the mixture cool down for just about 5 minutes. • Add jaggery and mix well. • Mix well until the jaggery melts. • Add nutmeg powder and mix well. • Grease a deep dish or trey well with ghee and transfer the mixture into it. • Spread it evenly and sprinkle leftover poppy seeds, sesame seeds and pistachio. • Press the garnishing well so that it won’t fall off. • Cut it into pieces while the mixture is still hot. • Loosen the edge and take the pieces out. Gulpapdi is ready. • If there is leftover mixture then heat it a little and roll ladoos from it. • You can make 24-26 vadi and 6 ladoos from the ingredients used. • It weighs almost 1 kilo.
