They began cleaning the farm’s water pond, and as they did so, the villagers gathered around them one by one. Their eyes were filled with wonder, as if there was something unusual between the two of them. Bardiya and Erio continued their work, although they could feel the curious and even surprised looks of the people. The sounds of conversation and the hum of the crowd made them feel strange. Perhaps everything was not as they had dreamed. After finishing their work, the farmer paid them a small sum of money, and they went to the village shop with Ali. The shop owner, seeing them, clearly noticed their differences. They looked at the products in the shop, like children who have entered a new world for the first time. When they were about to leave the village, a number of children were playing by the side of the street. Suddenly, one of the children shouted loudly: “Monster! Monster!” And immediately the rest of the children started running. Fear and terror were visible on their faces. Some of the children ran after them and looked at them, but neither of them seemed to know how to react to this behavior.
