Borsch4Breakfast - Villa-Lobos Etude No. 4

This is our Arrangement of Heitor-Villa-Lobos fourth etude for guitar. Since the technical element of the original etude for guitar is the execution of relatively fast repeated chords in we decided to emphasize on the harmonic structure of the piece. We also decided to add some good old Delay (does the same job anyway) to the pedalboard of our guitarist, so his right hand won't fall off during the performance. Villa-Lobos includes also syncopated Brazilian rhythm in this etude which reminded us of Bossa Nova - therefore one can hear the famous "Garota de Ipanema" in our interpretation in honor of Antônio Carlos Jobim. Since the repeated Sixteenth-Chords reminded us of Punk Music (Villa-Lobos uses Power-Chords and Tritones) we decided to have a Finale in a kind of "sophisticated Sex Pistols" manner (since there is a lot of voice leading going on besides the Power-Chords).
