In today's Scuttlebutt, I explain our week off from YouTube to build a custom wooden urn for my uncle, a talented artist who inspired my own work, while sharing major channel updates for veterans. It’s been an emotional and busy week here at Ivey's Family Factotum. After the passing of my uncle, I was tasked with building his final resting place—a custom urn. Being back in the shop has brought back many memories of his oil paintings and the artistic freedom he encouraged. In this update, I’m also announcing a big shift in how we support our brothers and sisters in arms. While the main channel will focus on the homestead and bills, The Scuttlebutt with IFF is officially vowing to give 100% of its earnings back to the veteran community for the next 20 years. We also take a look at some new shop tools, including a chainsaw sharpener and my plans for a Hudson Warrior XL sawmill. Stick around for updates on woodworking projects, laser engraving, and our upcoming family trip to deliver the urn. #IveysFamilyFactotum #TheScuttlebutt #Veterans #Woodworking #FamilyFirst #ShopLife #VeteranOwned #LifeLessons #CustomUrn #SupportOurVeterans Chapters 00:00 Welcome Back & Taking Time Off 00:50 A Personal Loss: Remembering My Uncle 01:38 The Task: Building a Custom Urn 02:25 Turning the Shed into a Shop 03:00 Facebook Updates & Gladis’s Role 04:00 Technical Details: Laser Engraving & Placards 05:15 My Uncle’s Artistic Legacy 07:55 Chainsaw Repairs & New Tools 09:20 The Dream Sawmill: Hudson Warrior XL 10:05 Big Announcement: 100% for Veterans 11:50 Weather Update & Upcoming Content 13:10 Supporting the Channel Remember to Always thank a Veteran, Not only on Veterans Day!
