In this video, I head out to southern Utah for a solo car camping trip near Zion National Park. I found a beautiful spot on BLM land near Virgin, Utah and set up for a peaceful night of dispersed camping — completely free camping out in the desert. There’s something different about camping out here. The red rock cliffs, open desert silence, and endless skies make southern Utah one of the most unreal places to spend a night. Instead of a traditional tent setup, I stayed in my Subaru Impreza and turned it into a simple car camping rig for the night. This was true dispersed camping — no campgrounds, no hookups, no reservations. Just public land, open space, and a quiet desert sunset near Zion.
