Sustainable Management of Aquatic Resources in Northeast India In this video, we explore India’s Northeastern Region (NER), a biodiversity hotspot encompassing the Indo-Burma and Himalayan ecosystems. This region is home to diverse aquatic life, crucial for the food security and livelihoods of local communities. Yet, population growth, climate change, pollution, and unsustainable practices are threatening these vital ecosystems. The video highlights our work on the sustainable management of aquatic resources, focusing on wild fish and invertebrates in Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, and Nagaland.
