In this video, I’m explaining the present progressive in Spanish. The present progressive in Spanish is the English version of infinitives ending in -ing, like I am walking, you are speaking, he is swimming, etc. In Spanish, you have two versions of this concept: Verbs that in -ar drop their ending and add the ending -ando, and verbs that end in -er and -ir drop their endings and add -iendo. There are a few exceptions with irregular and stem-changing verbs, like leer, dormir, and decir, and those require a bit more explanation and modification to make their pronunciation sound better when the verbs are said out loud. More is explained in the video. Feel free to share this video with people you know who love learning languages or with people in general. I very much appreciate the support. About me: I’m Alex, and I’m a student at UNLV. As I major in Spanish, I advance in my linguistic skills, learn new concepts, and understand how learning within languages works. I’m fluent in Russian, Hebrew, and English, and I’m learning Spanish and German. I’m simply trying to make languages seem very easy.
