1970s JM Kiddie Rides Coin Operated Boat Kiddie Ride - Lifeboat

Filmed at Merrivale Model Village in Great Yarmouth on September 24th 2012. I believe this is one of the few original designs made by J.M. Kiddie Rides of Lowestoft. It was first displayed at the Amusement Trades Exhibition in January 1977 and was apparently "based on an old original wooden lifeboat ride". It remained a popular design well into the 1990s. It's hard to date individual J.M. Kiddie Rides machines as the designs remained practically unchanged over the years. However, I would estimate this one as being from the late '80s or early '90s.
