2026 Honda WR-V EX - EXL The 2026 Honda WR-V arrives to complete the brand's renowned SUV lineup – alongside the HR-V, ZR-V, and CR-V – reinforcing the brand's renowned range of sport utility vehicles. With a groundbreaking design, the WR-V represents a true upgrade in the entry-level SUV segment, positioning itself as a new benchmark. Interior comfort is enhanced by the generous cabin volume, whose width, roof height, and generous wheelbase ensure unmatched space in the segment. The trunk, with 458 liters with the seats in the normal position, can reach 1,466 liters with the backrests folded down. The WR-V boasts the best trunk volume-to-wheelbase ratio in the segment, which is the main indicator of interior cabin space. In both versions, the Honda WR-V is equipped with a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter inline four-cylinder 16V DI DOHC i-VTEC (Intelligent Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control) engine. The i-VTEC system allows for variable intake valve opening width and duration, optimizing performance at different engine speeds. There is also VTC (variable timing control), a hydraulically operated system that controls the timing (advance or retard) of the intake camshaft. Working together, i-VTEC and VTC prioritize fuel consumption and emissions at low engine speeds and performance at high engine speeds, thus optimizing engine operation throughout its useful engine speed range. With an aluminum cylinder head, block, and crankcase, the WR-V engine stands out for its high fuel efficiency, which can be powered by either ethanol or gasoline with flex-fuel management. Equipped with direct fuel injection, the 1.5 DI i-VTEC engine delivers a maximum output of 126 hp at 6,200 rpm, running on both ethanol and gasoline. Maximum torque is 15.8 kgf.m at 4,600 rpm (ethanol) and 15.5 kgf.m at 4,600 rpm (gasoline). According to the Brazilian Vehicle Labeling Program (PBEV), the Honda WR-V has urban/highway fuel consumption of 8.2 and 8.9 km/l (using ethanol) and, respectively, 12.0 and 12.8 km/l (using gasoline). The Honda WR-V follows the standard of all the brand's vehicles, placing active and passive safety as a top priority. To this end, both versions of the 2026 WR-V come standard with Honda SENSING, a comprehensive system of safety and driver assistance technologies based on images captured by a long-range, wide-angle camera (approximately 100°) mounted at the top of the windshield. Honda SENSING has the following functions: ACC – Adaptive Cruise Control: Allows you to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front; CMBS – Collision Mitigation Braking System: Brakes when a potential frontal collision is detected. In addition to Honda SENSING on all trim levels, the WR-V also features the following safety features: six airbags (front, side, and curtain), Stability and Traction Assist (VSA), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Severe Braking Hazard Warning (ESS), Isofix and Top Tether (child seat anchors), multi-view rearview camera, parking sensors.
