Here you can see me solo Matriarch and the other spiders in the boss room of Nix Mansion with my very un-maxed alt character in Dead Frontier 2. Most of my gear is not enhanced yet and my gun doesn't have an upgrade. I do have a sweet Corpse Crusher, but it only has 20 incoming damage. My full build is the Possessed Agony assault rifle, Corpse Crusher, Golden Serpent Mask, Gloves of Misfortune, Sinner's Coffin, Comer's Business Pants, Sunset Drifter's Sandals. This is a pretty standard AR build, but it has pretty decent body damage, making it great for spiders because they don't have head hitboxes. My body DPS is 1,365.61, not including reloading speed, which is significantly higher than the best-possible Zed Buster build and, like I said earlier, I have not enhanced my gun, gloves, or mask yet, so it's not even close to it's full potential. It takes me about 3 minutes and 25 seconds to finish the whole room. There's another video where the player solos the room with Stairway to Hell, which has terrible body damage. Unsurprisingly, it takes him 6 minutes to kill everything. This character only has 108% incoming damage reduction (IDR) before I enter Nix Mansion, so after the Mara's Melancholy debuff inside the building, my IDR is only 8%. However, you can see me take a durability stim before I enter the room, which gives me an additional 15% IDR, bringing it up to a total of 23% inside the boss room. With only 23% IDR, 373 health, and 92 armor with 20% armor absorption, you can see me tank a spider bite at the 2:40 mark and I'm left with 78 health and 18 armor, meaning the spider bite did a total of 369 damage. This means that the base damage of one bite from Matriarch should be about 479.22 if you have exactly 0% IDR when you enter the boss room, which explains why most players get killed in one hit from spider bites. Theoretically, I should be able to just barely survive one bite if I had no armor, but I wouldn't want to take that chance. #deadfrontier2 #nixmansion #matriarchboss
