Uncharted Paths 5: The story behind the story begins here. In this episode of Uncharted Paths, we travel to Ranya — a quiet and beautiful town in Kurdistan, Iraq. Last year, Reman invited me here to meet his family, and the kindness and hospitality I experienced made Ranya a very special place for me. This year I have brought Felix and Titus with me. This is also where I take you behind the scenes of a documentary that is deeply personal to me: The Last Tea. It tells my story of rediscovering Iraq and the Arabic and Kurdish world through music. Together with Titus, Felix, and Dome, we’ve been working on this project for over two years, and it has become a journey of love, loss, and reconnection.
