It’s when people tell you ‘Aiyah, so old already, just take it easy.’ It’s when you tell yourself ‘I’m too old for this’ It’s when you’re judged by your age and nothing else. Our Movement Older doesn’t mean slower. Silver doesn’t equal stop. To prove this, five seniors (Jack Neo, Adam Abdul Rashid, Bridget Pereira, Victor Chan and Ngai Hin Kwok ran a 23.69km relay to tell everyone that Boomer is OK. Break the Silver Ceiling is a new movement that challenges the way we see ageing in Singapore. Just as the glass ceiling limits us at work, age stereotypes often limit our potential in life.
