In this beautiful reminder, Ustadh Mohamad Baajour continues the series on ‘Ibadur-Rahman — the servants of the Most Merciful. After describing their humility and patience, Allah (SWT) reveals their next quality: “They spend the night in prostration and standing before their Lord.” (Surah Al-Furqan 25:64). These are the people who rise when the world sleeps, when hearts are most sincere, and when the soul stands closest to Allah (SWT). Night prayer softens the heart, purifies the soul, and fills life with barakah. Ustadh Baajour reminds us that true humility with Allah (SWT) at night begins with humility with people during the day. Arrogance in daily life extinguishes the light of Qiyam. The righteous wake not to boast, but to thank Allah for His blessings or to seek forgiveness for their sins — both are beloved to Him. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “The closest a servant is to his Lord is while in sujood,” and he would stand until his feet swelled, saying, “Should I not be a grateful servant?” (Bukhari & Muslim). Whether you pray two rak‘ahs after ‘Isha or rise before Fajr, remember — those few minutes in the quiet of the night may be the moments when Allah (SWT) smiles upon you. May He make us among the people of Qiyam al-Layl. Ameen. 🎓 Original content by Ustadh Mohamad Baajour 🔗 Learn more at https://ustadhbaajour.org 📌 Used for educational purposes with attribution.
