This is rare amateur footage of the "Historical Vehicle Race" event which took place on March 1st, 1987 at Tsukuba Circuit in Tsukuba, Japan. Not much is known about this even other than this was a large event featuring huge number of historic cars from all around the world racing on the Tsukuba Circuit together. Some are race cars and it appears a number are modified consumer cars. Until now, it does not appear that footage from this event was available from anywhere else. Please enjoy this rare look into a special historic car race in Japan! ________________________________________________ This was played back using a mechanically and electrically restored Sony EDV-9000 ED Beta player.
