🌊 Deep Inside the Lady Luck Wreck | A Technical Dive Beneath Pompano Beach Beneath the calm waters off Pompano Beach, Florida, lies the Lady Luck — a 324-foot former sludge tanker turned artificial reef. But once you descend past the sunlight and into her shadowed corridors, she feels anything but lucky. This technical dive takes you deep into the heart of the wreck — through decaying passageways, silent machinery, and the haunting emptiness of the engine room. Every flicker of light reveals what time and the ocean have claimed. Massive Goliath grouper hover motionless in the darkness, their size almost unreal. Barracuda patrol the decks like sentinels. Lionfish glide through rusted beams, and giant schools of fish swirl through the open hatches, turning the wreck into a living cathedral of motion and shadow. Using closed-circuit rebreathers (CCR) and trimix, we explore the depths in near silence — where visibility fades, silt hangs in the water, and history feels close enough to touch. Few divers ever see these compartments. Fewer still return with footage.
