The proposed Intelligent Car Accident Prevention and Airbag System aims to reduce accident risks and minimize injuries through a smart embedded safety mechanism. This system integrates distance sensors, accelerometers, and vibration sensors with a microcontroller to continuously monitor vehicle surroundings and detect potential collisions in real time. The accident prevention module uses ultrasonic sensors to measure the distance between the vehicle and nearby obstacles. If the detected distance falls below a predefined safety threshold, the system alerts the driver through visual and audio warnings. In critical situations, automatic braking can be activated to prevent impact. In the event of a collision, the intelligent airbag deployment module analyzes impact force and direction using accelerometer data. The airbag is triggered only when the impact exceeds a specific threshold, ensuring optimized deployment and reducing unnecessary activation. Additionally, a GSM and GPS module can transmit the accident location to emergency contacts for immediate assistance. This project demonstrates a cost-effective prototype model suitable for smart vehicle safety systems and contributes toward the development of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
