All the R107 manuals and resources in one place — free and online. 👉 https://TonyLiveTV.com Subscribe if you would like to support this project. You may need my help one day and I will be here for you. This video is relevant to all M116, M117 Mercedes-Benz 8 cylinder gas, 3.8L, 4.2L, 5.0L, 5.6L engines. I am documenting every part of this vehicle as I put it back together. The idea is to end up with the best documented 560SL rebuilds on the Internet. Links to the manual and links to all tools used in this video are below. I want everyone who visits my channel to know about a friend of mine named Tasos. His videos inspire me to be more like him. His videos have helped me every step of the way. There is NO way I would be this far without his videos and his help. You can find his YouTube channel at: / tasosmoschatos Disclosure: My videos are not sponsored. I only recommend products I’ve personally purchased and use. I am using a very small amount of Permatex 80078 Anti-Seize for all those intake, water pump, exhaust bolts and things like the threads of the right rear upper block water heater hose pipe threads: https://amzn.to/3LjpkBz I also used a very small amount of Petroleum Jelly on the o-ring for the thermostat. I would imagine you have this on hand. In this video I installed the thermostat and torqued it to 10Nm using the TEKTON 1/4 Inch Drive Dual-Direction Click Torque Wrench. I really love this torque wrench. It is a fine piece of engineering: https://amzn.to/3z9gBrD The RTV silicone sealant I will be using on the gaskets is the Loctite SI 5900 Ready Gasket with the Cheez Whiz dispenser. It is a sensor-safe high temperature silicone sealant: https://amzn.to/3xYzf5T For setting the torque of the bolts to the front cover and on the inlet connection (25Nm), I will be using the GEARWRENCH 3/8" Flex Head Electronic Torque Wrench with Angle: https://amzn.to/3xx0cgZ That's all I used for tools. This video is very detailed and is intended for the absolute beginner (ME). This is how I did things. If you see a problem, let me and the world know by leaving a comment.
