Top reviews from the United States Nice filter that’s absurdly quiet. I really like this filter. I’m using it on a 75gallon S.A. Cichlid tank along with a 110 tidal hang on back filter. It may not be an ideal flow pattern, but I like that the mechanical foam filtration is on the top of the basket, it makes cleaning a breeze, not having to soak my whole counter pulling all the trays out every time I clean it. I generally do that every 4th or 5th time that I clean the filter, and also replace the filter floss at the same point. I would recommend handling the baskets with care, the fit together well, but due to the way the water flows between then, you need to make sure your aligning them properly or you could bend the tabs that make up the flow tube. Filter has tons of power, and is way over filtered on my setup, but the pair of filters help keep things clean from the massive duces my oscars and jack dempseys leave. I would recommend buying the pre filter to go along with this filter. It attaches to the filters intake inside the tank, and will drastically cut down on the amount of debris that passes through your biological media, and will leave the water crystal clear. This is my first canister, so I have no other units to compare against. But I would recommend it. It’s also whisper quiet, I can’t hear it running at all, and my air pump and hang on back are probably 3-4x louder. If i was purchasing filtration for a similar tank again, I would buy two of this filter, rather then a hang on back as my 2nd filter.
