These landscapes are a completely different side of Florida. Massive oak hammocks draped in Spanish moss, cypress wetlands, open wet prairies, and quiet backcountry roads that stretch for miles. This region is part of a critical wildlife corridor connecting conservation lands across South Florida, supporting animals like black bears, bobcats, and even the endangered Florida panther. It may not have towering mountains or alpine passes, but these ecosystems are just as wild — and just as special. This is the Florida most people never see.
