Where is the youngest land in China? There are birds flying, the river dancing, the tide rising and falling... Welcome to watch the video jointly created by BMW Group × Institute for Planets and explore the mystery of the birth of young land. The Yellow River and Liao River are familiar to most – one is our mother river, the other the largest river in Northeast China after the Heilongjiang and Songhua Rivers. Though far apart, these two rivers share a common destiny: both empty into the Bohai Sea. This time we came to Dongying and Panjin, exploring the endpoints of these great rivers. Here, you won’t find bustling ports⚓, but the vast natural wetlands, it is also a National Nature Reserves. These wetlands were formed within just the past few decades, act as nature’s own land reclamation projects! Millions of migratory birds traverse these wetlands annually. Though we filmed in July (not peak birdwatching season), but we still saw a large number of wetland birds raising their young.🐦 You can imagine how spectacular it would be during the migration season! We also discovered that the "Red beaches" does not turn red only in autumn, but is related to the type of Suaeda salsa. To capture the Yellow River’s legendary "yellow-blue confluence" with the sea, we drifted on the boat for half a day and finally took the desired picture. Through this video, we hope can help everyone understand the charm of estuarine wetlands. They deserve to be seen, cherished and protected. #wetlands #Migratorybird #Geography #Estuarinewetlands #environment #InstituteforPlanets 00:00 The youngest land in China 00:54 The biggest show 04:38 The most magical magic 08:13 The youngest bloom
