Travel Diary: Berlin Day 1! by CHERRY DOLLFACE

First full day in Berlin and I already have blisters! (Caused by an injured knee that made me limp) We started the day at the Gemäldegalerie to see our favorite— old European art! One of my favorites is Caravaggio and he has three paintings here… which is the most I’ve ever seen in one collection and you can tell. I’m stoked by my wildly excited face. They also had a Bosch, which I’m also obsessed with. Took a stroll down the river and into old town Berlin. Had lunch at Zum Nussbaum and had a pork knuckle on accident… There’s a first time for everything! Wouldn’t recommend if you’re meat squeamish. then we went to the Berlin Cathedral and climbed 300 stairs for panoramic city views. Almost got our heads blown off with wind, but laughed through it all. also found where James signed his name on the inside of the cathedral wall that was still there from 2017. There’s perks to being tall! Then went outside and shared a cookie and had a smooch on the grass. Ended the day at the Eastside Gallery… The longest stretch of the Berlin wall that is still standing. Also took a cruise by checkpoint Charlie. So much to see in the city! Also, thanks for the recommendations, but we are already home from our trip!
