Welcome to our channel! In this video, we take a closer look at the Cimmarron Uruguayo, an extraordinary dog breed hailing from Uruguay, South America. This breed originated from dogs brought by European settlers, which were left behind and naturally bred over time. Initially regarded as a nuisance for preying on livestock, the Cimmarron was later domesticated and became a valuable asset for hunting and farm work. With a stocky, muscular build, broad head, powerful jaws, and tight oval feet, the Cimmarron shares many traits with other Iberian breeds, including the Fila, Cane Corso, and Presa Canario. We’ll also discuss the breed's specific color markings that define its standard. The Cimmarron Uruguayo made its debut at a Uruguayan kennel club event in the late 1960s and gained recognition from international kennel clubs in the 2000s. Today, it is a beloved national symbol and military mascot in Uruguay. Interestingly, there are currently no known breeders of the Cimmarron Uruguayo in the United States, with the breed primarily found in South America and Europe.
