Hello! After a long, long time of hunting I still really can't believe I finally got this. The first time I stumbled across this track was back in 2016, when Runner set his legendary 25.11. I can remember watching the replay, and then thinking that this was the most insane run I had ever seen! Something about that flip just simply made me fall in love with the track. Fast forward to October 2019. Nadeoest Nadeo is going on in full swing, and we need players for the remaining maps. A spreadsheet was created, with the remaining maps and players who are hunting them in it. I decide, then and there, that I was going to try my best to get B05. Checkpoints: CP1 - 10.05 CP2 - 16.82 Final Time - 25.09 _________________________________________________________________________________________________ MAP BREAKDOWN The very first thing you see when you feast your eyes on the screen after the countdown is a sharp right hander. Not too sharp though, because you'll lose your speed into the void if you steer too sharply. Then we have a small drop where an insta-airbrake saves you the most amount of speed, the most consistently. Then, there is a miniscule downhill. You want to keep your grip as much as possible here. I chose for a right-left approach, whereas Runner just goes straight. Not sure what is more consistent, since I basically only went my way after I got used to it. Then we have our first CP. You want to take the uphill before it as sideways as possible, again, to keep traction. The downhill is tricky, because you can go risky over the hole and hope to not lose speed, or go for a more consistent wide approach. This is followed by a small flowtrick before the drop, where we have a tight right turn before another flowtrick drop, where we hit CP2. This is where the fun begins. (and ends, most of the time) The turn before the flip can be taken in a multitude of ways. In the 09, I went relatively wide, but kept alot of speed. This is what eventually ended up getting me the record. To set up for the flip, you want your car angled slightly to the left when driving upon it. When you are about to leave the ramp, you want to steer right, to give your car the extra trickshot momentum. Then, you literally just pray that your setup was good. A nanometer too low on the ramp exit and you hit the road, a nanometer too high and you just end up flying over the border to eventually land on your side or something. If you had a good setup, you now have to hope for a good landing on the border. Landing on your wheels, minimal speed loss, no rammstein landing when going back on the road, all that jazz. In all of my flip attempts, I have gotten TWO good flips. THATS RIGHT. TWO. 2. DEUX. ZWEI. One of which was a 25.23, which I got on a massive banger of a map newbie run, the other one being this one. From landing the flip on out, it is smooth sailing into the finish. I literally could not believe my eyes when they saw that I was ahead of Runner upon landing back on the road after that flip. It felt wrong, like what I was seeing wasn't actually possible. But damn, crossing that finish line with a 25.09 felt good. Sadly, my shadowplay pooped out when I needed it most. I would have loved to have the reaction for you guys, aswell as for myself. It felt so unreal :) It's safe to say that I have never hunted as much for a record as for this one! Thanks for watching guys, and a special thanks to those who supported and cheered and made it much more enjoyable to hunt in every which way possible :) _________________________________________________________________________________________________ MUSIC Polygon - Moment In Time • Polygon - Moment In Time
