My journey kicks off by discovering the serene and picturesque beauty of Bad Kohlgrub, a hidden gem perfect for unwinding. Just a stone's throw away, I then venture into the historical grandeur and spiritual tranquility of Ettal Abbey, an architectural masterpiece nestled amidst the mountains. From peaceful countryside, we then transition to the bustling and beautiful capital of Bavaria: Munich! Join me as I wander through the iconic Marienplatz, witness the famous Glockenspiel, beautiful St. Peter's Church. The adventure continues with a fascinating and delightful day tour. First stop is the stunning Linderhof Palace, the smallest but arguably most lavish of King Ludwig II's creations. Next stop is the picturesque village of Oberammergau, world-renowned for its Passion Play and beautifully painted houses. And of course, no Bavarian trip is complete without the castles! We'll make the exhilarating climb to that legendary Neuschwanstein Castle viewpoint – with an interesting plot twist! And we'll take a peek at Hohenschwangau Castle. Finally, we step inside the opulent Munich Residenz, the former royal palace of Bavarian monarchs.
