OBSCURIST TOURIST 085 - Kick-started in 1927, The Shady Dell Vintage Trailer Court in Bisbee, Arizona has come a long way as a provider of trailer and camping spaces along Highway 80. A unique stay awaits you here in vintage boats and trailers from the 20th century. Whether you choose to spend the night in the restored and elegantly furnished yacht, in a bus, or in a trailer, you can be assured of all basic amenities and comfort. This is your chance to dive into the past with many vintage items like TVs and phonographs placed in the trailers. On this particular visit, I stayed in the 1947 Tiki Bus - one of the most unique "rooms" I've ever stayed at in all my years of travel. RATING: 8.5/10 The Shady Dell could have easily been a 9 or 9.5, but I deducted a full point for the fact that there is a common shower in the main building - which wouldn't be such a problem if I was staying in the hot summer months. However, t it can be daunting to walk to the main bathrooms in the freezing dew of morning. That is literally my own complaint, though ... but it hasn't kept me from returning over and over ... and OVER again. Music by Obscurist Tourist/C.
