Only 10 minutes from a major city sits one of the most incredible abandoned mansions I have ever seen. This home belonged to the Bellini family - Italian immigrants who moved in the 1980s to continue their lives in a new country. The father, Giovanni Bellini, quickly made a name for himself. On paper, he owned several businesses across the city, but beneath the surface, things were cloudy and shady. Many of his companies were suspected of being involved in organized crime, and for years, Giovanni was the subject of ongoing federal investigations. Nothing ever stuck, but the rumors never stopped. Soon enough, Giovanni commissioned his dream mansion, custom-built to reflect the architecture and luxury he and his wife had always dreamt of. The finished result was incredible, with over 8 thousand square feet of living space, custom chandeliers, and a 4-car garage, which they filled with luxury cars. From the outside, they looked like the picture of success, eventually having a child as well. Then, tragedy struck. Luca, their son, died suddenly at a young age under circumstances that were never fully explained. Some believe it was health problems, but Giovanni feared it was retaliation of some kind. Whatever the truth was, the loss broke him, and he was never the same. In 2020, he passed away from heart failure, leaving his wife Isabella as the last member of the family. Completely heartbroken and with the weight of a life full of secrets on her shoulders, she packed a single bag and fled the mansion, leaving everything else behind.
