Mitsubishi Motors has expanded its model lineup in Thailand with the introduction of the Mitsubishi Xforce HEV. This hybrid variant of the automaker’s B-segment SUV, which made its global debut in Indonesia in 2023, is set to make its first public appearance at the upcoming Bangkok International Motor Show later this month. Following in the footsteps of the Xpander and Xpander Cross HEV models launched in Thailand last year, the Xforce HEV features the same e:Motion powertrain. Similar to Honda’s e:HEV system, this setup primarily drives the car using an electric motor, with the internal combustion engine serving as a generator. At higher speeds, the engine can engage directly for improved efficiency, working in tandem with the electric motor. The Xforce HEV’s system comprises an electric motor producing 116 PS and 255 Newton meters of torque, powered by a lithium-ion battery. It is paired with an Atkinson-cycle version of the 1.6-liter 4A92 MIVEC naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine, which delivers 95 PS at 5,100 rpm and 134 Newton meter at 4,500 rpm. Mitsubishi states that the Xforce HEV’s hybrid system has been further refined from the one used in the Xpander HEV. Key enhancements include a newly developed two-speed transaxle that improves transmission efficiency and a motor disconnect function, which disengages the motor from the drive shaft at high speeds. These upgrades help minimize energy loss, allowing the vehicle to achieve a class-leading fuel economy of approximately 24.4 kilometers per liter. Visually, the Xforce HEV remains largely similar to its internal combustion counterpart, with only subtle design tweaks for differentiation. The signature Dynamic Shield front fascia is retained, but the hybrid model features "Xforce" lettering on the front bonnet and a redesigned grille with chrome-finished horizontal slats. Additional styling elements on the lower bumper further distinguish it from the standard model. The hybrid continues to ride on two-tone 18-inch alloy wheels, now featuring a refreshed design. Other exterior details include HEV badges on the front grille and tailgate, as well as Hybrid EV badges on the front doors, all accented in blue to highlight its electrified identity. The Mitsubishi Xforce HEV retains the same dimensions as its petrol-powered counterpart, measuring 4,390 millimeters in length, 1,810 millimeters in width, and 1,660 millimeters in height, with a 2,650 millimeters wheelbase. However, the hybrid variant has a lower ground clearance of 183 millimeters compared to the standard model’s 222 millimeters. Inside, the cabin follows the ‘Horizontal Axis’ design philosophy seen in the regular Xforce, featuring a 12.3-inch Smartphone-link Display Audio system and an 8.0-inch digital driver display. The upholstery has been refreshed for the HEV, while the premium tech suite remains unchanged. This includes an eight-speaker Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium audio system, co-developed with Yamaha, along with standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. Mitsubishi’s Active Yaw Control, which optimizes driving force distribution between the front wheels, is also present. However, the hybrid model offers seven drive modes—compared to the petrol version’s four—adding EV Priority and Charge modes for electric driving, as well as a dedicated Tarmac mode. A toggle switch allows drivers to seamlessly switch between these settings. The Mitsubishi Xforce HEV comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, featuring six airbags and an array of active safety systems from the automaker’s Safety Sensing package. These include autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, Automatic High Beam, Lead Car Departure Notification, Blind Spot Warning with Lane Change Assist, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. Customers can choose from eight exterior color options, with four two-tone schemes—White Diamond, Energetic Yellow, Red, or Graphite Gray Metallic paired with a black roof—and four monotone choices, including White Diamond, Graphite Gray Metallic, Blade Silver Metallic, and Jet Black Mica. In Thailand, the Xforce HEV will be available in three variants: the base Xforce HEV Ignite, priced at 899,000 baht, the mid-range Xforce HEV Ultimate at 1.039 million baht, and the flagship Xforce HEV Ultimate X, which costs 1.089 million baht. #xforce #xforcehev #xforce2025 #xfrocehevinterior #offroadsuv #mitsubishixforcehev Thank you for watching to receive future updates please subscribe to our Channel, Good luck to everyone, and see you soon.
