🌿 Homily for the Second Sunday of Lent, Year C (2025) 🌿 📖 Readings: Genesis 15:5-12, 17-18 | Psalm 27:1, 7-8, 9, 13-14 | Philippians 3:17-4:1 | Luke 9:28b-36 🎚 Theme: It Is Difficult to Give Up One’s Life in Love Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, life is filled with challenges that test our faith and love. In today’s Gospel, we witness the Transfiguration of Jesus—a moment of divine glory that strengthens Him for the suffering ahead. This reminds us that true love requires sacrifice, and the path to eternal life is through self-giving. Like Abraham in Genesis, we are called to trust in God even when the future seems uncertain. St. Paul encourages us to imitate Christ by dying to selfishness and embracing a life of faith, love, and self-sacrifice. As we journey through this Lenten season, let us reflect on how we can give up our lives in love—through kindness, patience, forgiveness, and generosity. May this Lent deepen our trust in God and prepare us to share in the glory of Easter. Amen! 📌 Don’t forget to LIKE, SHARE, and SUBSCRIBE for more homilies and reflections! 🙏 How are you embracing self-giving love this Lent?
