In today’s Gospel, we witness the Transfiguration of Jesus—a moment of divine glory that strengthens Him for the suffering ahead. This reminds us that true love requires sacrifice, and the path to eternal life is through self-giving. Like Abraham in Genesis, we are called to trust in God even when the future seems uncertain. St. Paul encourages us to imitate Christ by dying to selfishness and embracing a life of faith, love, and self-sacrifice.
