What's up everyone! Today I have a mod that I did to my trunk lid to help with the big mistake a fab shop did on my trunk hinge tension bracket. If you mini tubbed your rear pro touring 1968 Mercury Cougar and/or Mustang and want to do something economical instead of billet hinges this is something to look into. I still have some grounding to do here to clean up, but this gives you an idea of what to expect this look like. Cougars trunk lids are HUGE and heavy compared to this Mustang cousin, so I've listed below the parts I used for this small project to provide adequate lift for #camilathe68cougar trunk.
