Full frame cameras like the a7iii and a7r iv can use it too since it shares the E-mount but it will automatically crop because the camera will sense that it isn't a full frame lens. This is also a long awaited premium lens for APSC users and was released alongside the 16-55mm F2.8 G Series which is also designed for APSC cameras. Though it doesn't have a constant F2.8 aperture, it should satisfy many users who want a long telephoto zoom range that isn't as large or expensive as the 70-300mm FE.
