Let's play Wizardry VII: Crusaders of the Dark Savant. Using MIDI music and the correct sound effects. CRPG Dabble: Casually playing some older CRPG games with no plans to finish them. I'm not saying I won't complete one of these, but the expectation is I play for a while, get bored, and move on to the next one. I prefer party based CRPG's and graphics have to be tolerable. Programs used to record this game: Grid Cartographer 4: http://gridcartographer.com/ Custom DOSBox (R17): http://gridcartographer.com/download/ Edit the DOSBox config file and add the following line after PCSpeaker=TRUE wizpopfix=7 Run Wizardry and go into configuration. Make sure sounds are set to PC Speaker instead of Sound Blaster. Music can be left as Sound Blaster. The above fixes the PC Speaker sound by removing pops along with providing a custom video overlay to send video to Grid Cartographer. Soundblaster effects do not work correctly so for the best effect sound use the PC Speaker setting with either this DOSBOX version or the the Auto mapper version below.
