New tyres from Goodyear landed in Australian shops this week. All priced at AUD$89.95 (current in August 2020), you can find a range that includes a tubeless option (ie. the black sidewall Eagle F1 in this clip) in 25mm, 28mm, 30mm and 32mm. There’s a stack of tech that I can tell you about – or, if you speed read, you can see it on the box as I pull the tyres out to weigh them. The other ones, the tan-walls are “tube-type tyres only” (ie. non-tubeless). Yes, also $89.95. They are lighter. But, guess what? Yep, they need tubes. I unboxed. There’s more to the story.
