Exploring a nice old abandoned decayed house from 1919 in Switzerland. I don't know the whole story about it, only that it is empty and decaying since at least over 10 years. MORE INFOS UPDATED BELOW. The house was very decayed, and the stairs destroyed, so I decided not to climb up in the first floor. Also in the second building (big garage etc) I didn't went up, some strange feelings said, I shouldn't go up there, whyever. 00:00 Outside. 00:32 Entering the house. 01:35 Small destroyed stairs. 02:50 Basement. 05:37 Destroyed main stairs. 06:37 Living room. 08:18 Totally decayed kitchen. 08:40 Bathroom and view outside. 10:28 Big garage (or big building) behind the house. 11:45 Going back to the house and leaving. What I found out so far: With googling directly the address, I found a hint, that there was possibly a car garage / car repair shop. In one way, it would explain the big building behind the garage, otherwise if I look at the street, the house and the location, it is hard to imagine, that there was a car repair shop. But maybe a small one, with not many customers and the access to the building with a car was probably better in the past. A small car shop would explain, that I didn't found any entries in the public company registers in the internet. Small companies do not necessarily have to be entered in the commercial register in Switzerland. Also there was no website on archive org or similar about this car garage, also I didn't found some owner. So I'm not sure about that. Very strange. I found a single side PDF document on a website, that is selling software / access for an online portal for real estate / property management. I am not sure, if I should be able to find this document by Google, but maybe there is an issue with access protection on their server. The document is from a building insurance company, dated 2015, and it shows the address of this house, and a insurance estimation and a notice "Reason for the estimate: Instead of renovation". The owner name is censored with black bars. There is written, that the house was built in 1919. Also the document was not sent to the owner, but some kind of social services of the city. And I just see: It was a new insurance policy, that this social services did. So maybe the owner was bankrupt / insolvent, or died without descendants, and the house properties went to the city. Or maybe it is known, that there are descendants, but they don't find them, so they have to wait many years, until the city / authorities can overtake the property. But why they let the building rot for 10 years is a good question. The building grids in front of the house looked very new. Perhaps there was a deadline of 10 years until the city can take over, and the building will now soon be demolished? I'll keep looking. Disclaimer: It can be very dangerous to explore such places, and depending of the place and country, also possibly illegal. Do not try this at your own, unless you know what you are doing, and only with the correct equipment. Also please do not vandalize or destroy anything in such buildings, and do not take any things with you! Leave the building as if you had never been there. These kinds of videos are published to view and preserve old or historic buildings, that are abandoned, or will be demolished sometime. Important: I edited and uploaded this video for an anonymous person, who I met in a discord channel (again), who has still very limited internet bandwith and no possibility to upload large videos. So I cannot take responsibility about the content.
