This is a technique called shimming being used on high security "unshimmable" Yuil silicone lined handcuffs using a home made split shim. In my previous video I showed how to make the basic shim. The difference with the shim shown in this video is it's longer size and using a junior hacksaw blade put a half centimetre cut in the middle, creating 2 prongs that can go either side of a divided, double pawl cuff. Fair disclosure, I show that the particular cuffs in this video are pretty sloppy with their tolerances. They are the aluminium model. I have tried this same shim on my non-aluminium chain link model and I was entirely unable to shim them due to tighter tolerances. *Sidebar*: My recommendation is to avoid anything from Yuil that is aluminium/aluminum/light-weight. The quality is sub-standard, less strong and worse locking mechanism than the normal silicone lined ones that aren't light-weight. On the whole, Yuil handcuffs are high security compared to standard, they do offer more resistance to picking and shimming than standard handcuffs. However I have enough of a hard time trying to pick triple pawl cuffs that don't even have dividers between them or require split bit keys. Like any TCH handcuff, I fail every, I repeat every time. I just can't trip all 3 pawls but I can shim them like a champ if they aren't double locked! Every handcuff has it's pros and cons. I'd just stay away from Yuil's light-weight product line. security equipment police equipment etc #handcuffs
