Achieved on: 12-26-2020 Emulator used: Project 64 1.6 This is a ROM hack I have been learning how to play on over the past few months. The hack was developed by Kaze Emanuar and is a linear take on the SM64 engine. At the end of every level, there is a single goal star. However, there are still non-goal stars around the level that are collected non-linearly in a true SM64 fashion. Consider this a sort of combination between the 3D Land and World gameplay style and the SM64 gameplay style. The hack also gives Mario several movement options that include: The ground pound dive from Super Mario Odyssey, the ability to cling on walls from wall kicking that was in Super Mario Sunshine, and onwards, a spin which is an ability unique to this hack, and a high jump which I believe is from Super Mario Odyssey which is done by ground-pounding and then immediately jumping. Super Mario 64 Land also has a unique mechanic no other hack has had before SM64 Land or since. The ranking system is a point system that is calculated at the end of every level. It is based on enemies you have killed throughout the level, the coins you have collected, and the amount of time it takes you to complete the level. Getting an A-Rank at the end of every level of a run unlocks the Toad House for that run. Getting all 8 of these Toad stars as well as all the other stars in the game gives you 120 Stars. These 120 Stars unlock Champions Road which has a Toad house as well after you complete it. There is actually a category for this called 122 Star which is 1 star from all 9 of the Toad houses and each of the other stars scattered throughout the game. However, getting Superstar rank or S-Rank at the end of every level in a world and then completing Champion's Road unlocks a second star in the Toad house for that world. This is also applied to the Champion's Road Toad house where getting S-Rank at the end unlocks a 2nd Toad Star. Bringing the total up to 131 Stars. This category was very fun yet very difficult to learn. I could have a segment talking about my mistakes and improvements, however, I don't think that's necessary.
