AS 221 JFK-SEA | AS 223 SEA-FAI I took Alaska Airlines flights from New York to Fairbanks multiple times last year (2021) and this was the first trip. It was during the Pandemic so everything was very different than now. I always loved the view from the sky. With some imaginations, you could see many things differently. For example, do you see a face at 2'20" in this video? Do you see the land looks like the Moai statues on Easter Island at 2''30"? During the Pandemic, AS offered cold sandwiches in first class. I loved hot food but I did not mind this cold sandwich at all. On the contrary, I found it very tasty and I loved it so much especially comparing to the cold sandwich that I received on my recent AA flight (    • Worse First Class Meals EVER!!! AA First C...  ). Due to the time of this flight, I enjoyed the endless sunset from Midwest all the way to Seattle. During the short layover at SEA airport, I visited the Alaska Lounge located at North Satellite on the mezzanine level, above Gates N13-18. I found that the food offering during the Pandemic was better than usual. I could not express how much I loved this lounge for its stylish decor and atmosphere. However, it also set the bar too high that when I visited other Alaska Lounges, I somehow felt a little bit disappointed. Shortly after departure on the next flight, I saw the beautiful Seattle skyline. The night view was spectacular with all the different lights. The most amazing on this flight was that I was able to see North Lights on this flight. Remember to pick the window seats on the right hand side from SEA to FAI and left hand side from FAI to SEA so you might have a chance to see the beautiful Aurora. I was unable to to video record the Aurora but I did take photos to share with you. Hope you enjoy this video.
