In this new deck-building video for Pokemon TGC Pocket I'll share with you my battle-tested Giratina EX deck that is going to change the meta once and for all. Deck composition : 2 Giratina EX 2 Mr. Mime from Shining Revelry 2 Irida 2 Reds / 2 Giovannis 2 Rocky Helmets or Giant Capes, 2 Pokémon Center Ladies, 2 Potions, 2 Pokéball, 2 Professor's Research, 2 Team Rocket Grunts. STRATEGY The idea behind this deck is to unleash the deadly power of Giratina EX along with his sidekick Mr. Mime for ultimate chaos. I'm being honest when I say this deck is disgusting. I haven't got so many win via conceding in such a quick turnaround. I think this card although it is a little bit balanced (more of that in a moment) is a huge mistake and may scare the casual player base away, but hey, I'm not the dev and I hope the community can find some good counters that I'll talk about in another video. This is basically an 18-trainer giratina deck with Mr. Mimes sprinkled in it as a failsafe. The problem with giratina is that if you're running only two of them and one gets knocked down, it is tough to overcome that and win the match, especially when you face another giratina EX. Mr. Mime is a fantastic basic Pokémon with a decent HP pool and a low 2 energy attack cost that can deal up to 80 damage. He can pressure any enemy more than enough while you're building up giratina in the back with its Broken-Space Bellow ability to attack in your 3rd turn and use all the trainer cards in the deck to either heal or troll the enemy so hard that they quit (I'm looking at you, Team Rocket Grunts). Just remember to use any trainer cards before using the ability as your turn will end there. For this deck, we're using a Water and Psychic energy pool because both giratina and Mr. Mime can perform their attacks even if you've attached one water energy. With this we have 3 ways of healing: With Potions, Irida and Pokémon Center Lady. One important piece of advice while playing with giratina EX is to be mindful of 2 things: First, its health, as it will fall down to 130 after performing his attack that self-inflicts 20 damage, making it vulnerable to other high-damage Pokémon like Rampardos, Clodsire EX and Meowscarada which are fantastic counters thanks to their speed. Gain some time by using the Team Rocket Grunts to chop off some of those energies, which leads me to point number 2: Be sure to strike first always, especially in a battle of giratinas. If you pair giratina EX with a Red or Giovanni trainer card you can turn almost any card into shreds and be somewhat safe about the enemy not being able to retaliate that fast on their next turn. If you don't, the tables can turn pretty quickly. But even with that, this is a hell of a deck that I may be using in ranked once the gates are open. Annnnnnnnnd that's the giratina EX deck! Please share in the comment section how you guys think it will fit in the current meta. Give it a thumbs up if you like it, and thumbs down if you don't, I hope you give it a try, and I'll see you later here on the channel for another deck-building video.
