Horology – the study and measurement of time; the art of making clocks and watches. The National Watch and Clock Museum contains the largest collection of international timepieces in North America. Located in Columbia, PA, the museum was founded by the National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors (NAWCC). Originally known as the Watch Collectors Club, the NAWCC now boasts 10,000 members, and is a world leader in horological education. The Association maintains a horological research library and online forum, publishes books and periodicals, and hosts symposiums, regional meetings, and annual conventions.
