Update sa Napier Silage after 1 month | Unang pagpapakain ng silage - ang lakas na agad kumain ng ibang kambing. This is the first time we feed our goats with napier silage. We've known this technology long since we started our goat farm but due to the cost of grass chopper and drums, we just started making napier silage last month only, or more than 3 years since we started. We managed to get the right result on our first trial by strictly following the standard procedure, i.e. good moisture content, correct chopping length and airtight seal. Our management system is semi-intensive, where goats are allowed to graze on 9 paddocks and moved every 3-4 days. This is a great technology especially during rainy season when goats are kept inside. Cutting grasses and forages during rainy and typhoon seasons is also very difficult, so silage technology is of great help.
