We had a special visitor at Pacific Neuroscience Institute in October 2024—Mamadou, a true gentle giant. Diagnosed with gigantism at 16, Mamadou experienced severe headaches and vision problems as he shot up more than a foot in just one year. An MRI revealed a growth hormone-secreting tumor on his pituitary gland. After an initial surgery couldn't fully remove the tumor, his family turned to Dr. Daniel Kelly. Thanks to Dr. Kelly’s successful surgery, Mamadou not only recovered but thrived. He went on to have a remarkable basketball career in high school, college, and professionally. Now, at 7’6”, Mamadou is in peak health.
