In this series 'The full picture', award-winning photojournalist Rick Findler shares the stories behind the photographs. In 2012 Rick was smuggled through the closed borders of Syria to document the supposed cease fire during the early days of the Syrian uprising against President Assad. There he spent time with the Free Syrian Army rebels, sharing their cave as a headquarters for their operations and documenting the FSA's role in the surrounding areas.
