My name is Raoul, I am from the Netherlands and I am in my last year of medical school. By august this your I will be able to call myself a M.D. It was quite a long, but very rewarding journey in which I learned from every patients, and every doctor along the way. During medical school I have often noticed that many people, even after visiting their doctor, still have unanswered or even new questions. "What disease do I actually have?" "What should we do about it?" "What does my medication actually do?" All these questions, and countless others, ghost through the mind of you, me, and everybody with a doctor's appointment. These are questions that I am looking to answer with my youtube channel. You need to know that I always wanted to become a doctor to help other people, and this is one of the ways in which I can already do that. Therefore I make weekly videos in which I try to share the most necessary information, as simply as possible in easy to understand language. And my goal is to answer your most essential questions about illnesses and medication use. In addition, I also make a more extensive, in depth version of each video that is suitable for medical students. This way I also try to help new and upcoming medical students. This is where my color scheme comes in. Looking at my channel you will see Blue and Red thumbnails on my videos. The Blue videos are suitable for patients or layman. In these videos I cover only the essentials in easy to understand language. The red videos are in depth, use medical terminology, and are meant for medical students.
