The marksman air defense system is very similar to the German Cheetah air defense tank in terms of engine performance, ammunition capacity and effective range. The turret of the marksman air defense system can be installed on the chassis of many different tanks to become a self-propelled air defense artillery. The only user of the system is the Finnish Army; the country ordered seven marksman systems from the United Kingdom in 1990. The marksman system used in Finland was mounted on the Polish T-55AM tank chassis and was given the code name ItPsv 90 (Finnish: lmatorjuntapanssarivaunu 90, meaning 90 type air defense tank, where 90 represents the year of service) by the Finnish military. The marksman air defense system is considered to be a very accurate air defense artillery system, with a record average hit rate of about 52.44%. [1] In 2010, the ItPsv 90 in the Finnish Army was transferred to the wartime reserve (it will only be used during the war, and will remain sealed for the rest of the time).
