Today, I’m uploading a second version of “Crocodile Rock” by Elton John from his 1973 album, Don’t Shoot Me I’m Only The Piano Player. I uploaded a cover of this song a year ago and it is WAY too fast. I’m keeping that one up, but this version is much better in terms of tempo and more accurate to how Elton plays it live. This song was released as a single and was incredibly commercially successful. It charted extremely high all over the world. It peaked at #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and fell within the Top 10 on the charts in twelve other countries. This was a staple in Elton’s live shows from its release up until 1984. He then dropped the song from all his sets for about 13-15 years, with the exception of playing it in a slightly different arrangement at a show in 1994. He added it back in the late ‘90s and, with the exception of one Farewell Tour leg, it has been played as a part of his solo and band shows ever since. Enjoy! Patreon:   / kyle_c
