This piece isn't about the choreography. Or at least it's not the main focus of the piece. I created the structured sections, not to stand alone, but to help build towards a greater purpose. Once you break through that threshold and get to that drop, it's just about absolutely letting go and allowing yourself to be so empowered by your own freedom that you lose sight of anything holding you back or weighing you down. This piece allows you to reach a place of almost euphoria, where you come into contact with something spiritual within yourself. Something real and ugly but also beautiful and strange. It's both an internal and external experience and I always find myself in a place where nothing really matters but everything is everything and everything is connected. This piece is about fear. About being afraid to love. But in the end, love is all we've got left to save us.
