Another summer and another mammoth trip. Total 2,400 miles on the bikes and over 20 miles walking. PART 1. Skipped through the Channel crossing and France for this one. This picks up around the Zurich are and is of the group just trying to get through Switzerland and over the Eastern part of the Alps to the Dolomites in Italy. that part of the Alps had suffered weeks of storms causing some of the roads to have washed away as we discovered and as we tried to make the journey pulses of storms kept rolling in as we used Met Office radars on Google to time our movement between the main storms.
