Zadar and Split, CROATIA!!!.

The next two stops on my Croatian adventure were Zadar and Split. Both towns have Roman and Venetian cultural history and both towns have a strong maritime presence, with ports, harbours, fishing fleets and ferries. Zadar has a compact old town set on a Peninsular with beautiful streets and fantastic vistas out over the Adriatic to the Islands and Mountains beyond. Split is a big, beautiful seaside city with a distinct oldtown, which is a very fashionable and lively destination and also has famous ties to the Game of Thrones culture. There are also huge, beautiful parklands adjacent to the town, with hiking trails, many points of interest and memorable views over Split, the Adriatic and beyond. Two great destinations!!! Also, the bus journeys to travel to these places are some of the most amazing journeys I have done.
