The story features a version of Superman who becomes more like a dictator after the death of Lois Lane. It serves as DC Comics' equivalent to Marvel's Civil War, with Justice League members at odds with one another. Batman leads the resistance to fight Superman, alongside characters like Green Arrow, Martian Manhunter, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, Nightwing, and Black Canary, to name a few. Meanwhile, Superman’s regime includes Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg, Green Lantern, Shazam, Raven, and many others. Some aspects of Injustice can be seen in Zack Snyder’s DCEU; for example, BvS and Justice League laid the groundwork for Superman to be corrupted by Darkseid.
