Watercolour of Little Qualicum Falls

This is based on a beautiful reference photo sent to me by Debra and Cliff Butterworth. It is of Little Qualicum Falls on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The other photos were taken by me. I painted it in my journal first, which is 5" x 3.5" and that seemed like a very comfortable size for this painting. The one that I demonstrate in this video is 5" x 8" on Arches 140 lb. cold pressed paper. Colours used: -Phthalo Green -Cobalt Blue -Ultramarine Blue -Quinacridone Rose -Azo Yellow -Raw Sienna -Burnt Sienna I also tried two optional colours and they were Green Gold and Quinacridone Gold. I don't usually list these colours as they are expensive and not everyone has them. Most of my paints are professional quality by M. Graham, Daniel Smith, or Winsor & Newton. I have favourite pigments in all three brands.
