I built a VENDING MACHINE from LEGO! – MAOAM sweets vending machine

In today’s video, I will be showing you a vending machine that I built using Lego. This machine has four different flavours of MAOAM sweets where the user can choose any four sweets – either all the same or different flavours – and get them for just 10p. The machine is powered by a Raspberry Pi, Lego Mindstorms NXT and Lego Mindstorms Robot Inventor. There are also Lego Power Functions inside the machine, however, these are just some lights. The Mindstorms p-bricks powers servos, a light sensor and a colour sensor, while the Raspberry Pi controls another servo, RGB LED, an LCD and buttons. The machine also features an enclosed drawer for the earnings, another side drawer for things like spare stock and even a coin rejection system for coins smaller than 10p. The Mindstorms Robot Inventor and NXT were both programmed using the included block-based programming system on their apps, while the Raspberry Pi was programmed using Python.
